A little history on Megurine Luka

Megurine Luka was the third Japanese Vocaloid to be released. Her surname combines Meguri (巡, circulate or around) and Ne (音, sound), while the name Luka invokes the Japanese words of “nagare” (流, flow) and “ka” (歌, song) or “ka” (香, scent); It would mean that Luka’s singing spread sounds all around the world just as scent spreads in the air.

Unlike previous mascots in the series, Megurine Luka’s costume is not based on a school uniform. Due to her bilingual software, her costume design was made to be asymmetrical, so that from different angles she would look different.

99% of you would already know what Vocaloids are, but for the benefit of the 1% (pun unintended) check out the next page for a detailed explanation on an explanation on what are Vocaloids!
