Naruto VS One Piece PK (Best Male Anime Characters Showdown)
There are many lists compiling who are the coolest/hottest/cutest/strongest, etc. male anime characters on the Internet. They are very interesting to go through and see the different interpretations of so many characters!
So, in this post, we’ll be doing a PK – “Player Kill” in gamer terms – with some of these male characters from different anime! So, if you’re a fan of Naruto and/or One Piece, cheer on for your favourite characters!
The contenders will be broken down into three parts for each section: strength, personality, and appearance. Depending on their statistics, they could win, lose, or be in a tie. You can also vote for your favourite characters in this PK!
The Main Characters
Uzumaki Naruto VS Monkey D. Luffy
This is not just about their strength and character – it’s also about who is – or can be – the greater goof. The both of them would probably the best of friends and the world’s most feared pranksters, methinks.
Strength: He doesn’t give up. He does not a lot of ninjutsu like Orochimaru or Kakashi, but he has proven that he can overcome anything with determination! Naruto has the Sage Mode and the Bijuu Mode which further enhances his strength and speed. Together with the Nine-Tailed Fox’s chakra, Naruto has almost, literally, sage-like endurance and stamina that can outlast his opponents. Like his father, Namikaze Minato, he even invented his own special ninjutsu.
Personality: He is quite stubborn and was a troublemaker early in the series. BUT he is selfless, kind-hearted, and is very understanding. He was not very bright when he was younger (remember his clones?) so he was the infamous class clown. However, after his training with Jiraiya, he did seem to mature and become more responsible. His beliefs had grown stronger and he learns quickly.
Appearance: What’s the difference? But he looked so kakkoii when he donned his father’s Yondaime Hokage cloak, right?! Overall, he looks just like his super handsome dad, but without the long side burns and nicely-styled spiky hair. Some kunoichis have told me that they think Naruto’s Nine-Tailed Fox’s “whiskers” are cute. (They’re lucky Hinata is not a yandere.)
Strength: Luffy’s grandfather, Garp, had put him through some inhumanly tough training when he was young. Luffy had been thrown into valleys, stranded alone in menacing forests, and tied to balloons that chibi Luffy got carried high up into the sky. In the Dressrosa Arc, Luffy was seen showing some immense strength, defeating a giant with one punch. He also seems to be able to take punches seeing that he stands up rather quickly when he gets beaten down.
Personality: He’s a pretty happy-go-lucky guy, playful, and gets excited very easily about robots and things that can transform and shoot laser beams. Pretty much like a kid. He has guts and is rather impulsive but his experiences and skills always saves his butt and his crewmates’. Luffy is fiercely loyal, never forgetting who had helped him and protects those he cares for.
Appearance: His straw hat that Shanks gave him, the simple red top that he never buttons, blue bermuda shorts, and slippers – and he wants to be the king of the pirates. O…kay. Luffy is the perfect example of why we should never judge a book by its cover. After the timeskip, he has an X-shaped scar on his bared torso and wears a yellow sash around his waist.

Conclusion: Naruto probably has a lot more tenacity to fight on than Luffy. But then again, it’s really hard to tell when your opponent is Luffy.
Luffy might win Naruto as Luffy has Devil Fruit powers. But we also need to take into consideration that Naruto’s speed could match Luffy’s Gear Second Mode if he went into Bijuu Mode. Not forgetting that in Bijuu mode, Naruto can release one deadly ball of concentrated energy blast that could break a mountain.
I cannot help but think that Naruto could still look better because he has inherited Minato’s disarming good looks. But I was really touched the time Luffy, in the “Return To Sabaody” arc, looked so cool in that fur coat…! AND making a comeback at the same time.
